Connectivity

Leased Lines / Wes / EFM

Leased Lines:
connects two locations for private voice and/or data telecommunication service. Not a dedicated cable, a leased line is actually a reserved circuit between two points. Leased lines can span short or long distances. They maintain a single open circuit at all times, as opposed to traditional telephone services that reuse the same lines for many different conversations through a process called "switching."

Leased lines most commonly are rented by businesses to connect branch offices to the internet, because these lines guarantee bandwidth for network traffic.

Typical circuit size are 2Mb. Minimum contract period is 12 months. Guaranteed bandwidth excellent SLR and ADSL back up line as standard. Price is on application based on distance from the POP.

WES Circuit: (Wholesale Extension Service)
A high speed, point-to-point data circuit provided by BT Wholesale which provides a secure link between the Internet point of presence and a third party customer site. These are normal much higher bandwidths such as WES 10 (up to 10Mb) & Wes 100 (up to 100Mb)

Excellent SLR and can also be supplied with ADSL back up as an option.

BT EFM (Ethernet in the First Mile)
leased lines are the latest IP data connectivity circuits that can provide Internet connectivity over standard voice-quality analogue pairs. BT EFM circuits can provide speeds from 2 Mb/s up to 10 Mb/s. The speed EFM circuits can provide depends on distance from the nearest EFM point of presence and the number of copper pairs used. Very good value for money.

Having a dedicated leased lines will provide your business with, fast effective internet access 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. A leased line /Wes /EFM circuit will ensure that your company can reap the many benefits that only a permanent connection can offer.

Qruse are able to supply all of these services from various back bone ISP's, thereby giving you the choice of the very best deals available. Some suppliers are better than others in providing these type of services. Price isn't the only thing to be taken into account. Support and length of contract are also key elements that need to be considered. These type of circuits are easily upgradeable providing you with the flexibility that your developing business demands.

High Bandwith Leased line & Wes circuits now provide very cost effective access to the internet. The fixed annual charge means that you can budget in advance, safe in the knowledge that you know exactly what your total unlimited internet access will cost. There are no data transfer charges or data capps (which other ISP's sometimes use), just the single fixed monthly, quarterly or annual line charge.

Qruse will only clients with ISP's that have a stable financial background and the back-up and support services to match. We will not entertain companies if they don't meet with our strict minimum requirement.

Another requirement that we absolutely insist on with the ISP's that we use is that all times the lines that we purchase on our customers behalf, are constantly monitored, so that in the unlikely event that a fault or error is detected, the ISP can resolve the issue before it becomes a problem.

We can supply fully configured and managed routers - or you can connect your own equipment, as you require.

Leased lines, Wes & EFM circuits provide guaranteed bandwidth without contention - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

All of the above can have an ADSL back up line as a fail safe option.

What will a Leased Line, Wes or EFM cost?

The annual cost of one of these lines will depend upon the distance your office is from the nearest POP (point of presence) together with the bandwidth required (data transfer rate) allocated.
